When you want to make a few upgrades in your home do you tear out everything or do one room at a time?
One room at a time right..?
And you typically have a plan…
and pictures of what you want…
Why do we think we can make changes in our life any different..?
I know in the past when I decided to make a change, be it a diet or exercise…
I would go all in and make a major change, (tear out the whole house)…
Radical new workout regimen or completely change my diet…
Usually with nothing more than notes from new workout or diet article that got me all hyped up…
This always seemed like a lot of fun at first, because it was new…
Then I would quickly become overwhelmed by all the different decisions pulling me in multiple directions…
Or maybe it would be the soreness from doing too much to fast and not taking time for my body to adjust…
Then give up because, it was just too much to worry about anyway…
And the fact I didn’t have a real plan didn’t help either…
Sound familiar?
When I think about the changes I’ve made that worked, it has come down to this…
I had to learn how to do it the right way…
You have see or at least have a real idea of what you want your life (upgrade) to look like…
You need to develop a real plan to follow, like a map…
This plan should have check points along the way, so you can stop and evaluate the journey…
If you really want to complete this journey, you need to have someone in your corner you can lean on…
Someone to hold your feet to the flame when you try to give in…
Then if you want the shortcut, you need a mentor someone who has been there and done that, they even have the T-shirt to prove it!!! LOL
I have a few T-Shirts!!!!
You don’t have to make a radical changes to find the better version of yourself…
Small daily actions (one room at a time) make big changes…
What methods do you use to set goals or make life changes?
If you need help ASK and if you do reach out for help, no you don’t need a credit card in your hand…
